One Show Design 2010

By Joseph Duffy May 4, 2010

I had the distinct pleasure to join an amazing cast of creatives from all over the country as a judge at this year's One Show Design competition in Brooklyn, New York. We spent 3 days in the big city going through thousands of design entries looking for those bodies of work that best encompass where our industry sits today and also hunting for those that are pushing it to new and exciting places.

It is a daunting task to look at so much work at one time. Endless stacks of printed and 3 dimensional materials as well as reel after reel of online and broadcast. Keeping focused on making sure every piece received a fair look was key.

All and all there was a lot of great work. Of course with the good there also comes the bad and we had a fair share of that as well. But leave it to The One Club to put together a dynamite video that summed the event up beautifully. Please click on the links to the right for the video and info on the judges.

I wish I was going to be present at the award ceremony next week but unfortunately it will not happen this time around. . .

Big thanks to Seth, Mary & Kevin at The One Club for including me!
