We were recently in NYC working with The One Club's new Creativity Boot Camps (post coming soon) when we slipped away over lunch to check out the new Museum of Arts and Design in Columbus Circle.
The new museum was very cool. Great design and an interesting layout. Just be ready to either wait for the masses in the elevator or to walk a lot of stairs. And like all great contemporary museums, the museum store was awesome. Great books, jewelry and art.
But the true beauty was the exhibition called "Slash - Paper Under The Knife." It was absolutely incredible. Every piece was nothing short of amazing. I tried to take pictures of the lobby ceiling but was quickly shunned for doing so. I only got the one. The amount of time it had to take these artists to create all of this work is absolutely mind boggling. I am relatively certain that they are all clinically insane. . . you would have to be.
Here is a link to the MAD Museum website. There is a short video showcasing the work and if you are in NYC anytime soon, I highly suggest checking it out. I will be back in March and plan to go again. Looks like it's done on April 4th.
