Day 1 in Beijing 2006 was no different from my previous trips – an amazing eye opener.
A morning stroll on the chilly – even for a Minnesota boy – first day of December, through one small neighborhood of antique shops, revealed an amazing array of Chinese art and craftsmanship.
It’s humbling to see this combination of design and craft. It’s also inspiring to see what’s possible with earth’s basic elements and a few simple tools.
