Every late fall the
Minneapolis College of Art and Design fills their space to the brim with
one-of-a-kind art created by students and recent graduates, hosting their
annual (and very popular!) MCAD Art Sale. Every piece is priced under $1000,
with an average price of less than $100, and all proceeds benefit the artists.
It’s a great place to find affordable, local art. My husband and I go every
year, and it’s always fun to see the abundance of creativity that is so
prevalent in Minneapolis. Pictured are just a few of the pieces we’ve taken home
over the years, including "Two Hearts" which we just picked up over the weekend at the 2009 sale.
