So Many Choices

Growing up, I never understood how a simple trip to the store to pick up only a few items jotted on a list could turn in to an hour+ long trip spending $100+ dollars. Well now I know. As a mom of two young children, I am at Target a lot. And it doesn't help that our local Target store is literally a two minute car ride from my home. The choices are what really get me though. I will stand in an aisle for several minutes checking out all my options and in the end, make my choice based on packaging. Just this week I purchased a new liquid dishwashing soap because I liked the simple, clean look of the bottle. And I figured it was something I could leave out next to my sink without cluttering my kitchen with busy packaging.

At the end of the day, what I've come to realize is that the way a product looks—the packaging—really drives the consumer.
