501F1T is a dream come true for Personal Trainer, equipment creator and gym founder Phil Martens. Last night marked its grand opening. The event was complete with catering by Wolfgang Puck's 2021 Restaurant, samplings of Eniva's V!BE product and Air Force Nutrisoda, massage demonstrations, as well as the chance to mingle with personal trainers and fitness experts.
As an early client of Phil's, Joe Duffy was the first connection that D&P had to this project. From those mornings in the gym, a professional relationship emerged.
The gym is located at 501 Washington Avenue South—one part of the inspiration behind the new name. F1T is part two—the goal of the endeavor.
501F1T offers unique strength training classes, as well as a complete gym with weight and cardio equipment. The space—a collaborative design project between D&P and CityDeskStudio architects—marries the building's old industrial feel with a pop of modern energy through color and graphics.
There's a whole group of us that have added strength training to our lives. Check it out. It's fun and it works!
