The Ultimate Drive for the Ultimate Cure

On September 11th, I participated in a fun event sponsored by BMW Motorwerks in Bloomington. Each year, the BMW Ultimate Driving Experience comes to the Twin Cities to help raise money for Susan G. Komen For The Cure to fight breast cancer. And every year, my husband and I participate. Not only do we get to test drive some really fun and powerful cars, but we also know that our experience will somehow help to find an eventual cure for breast cancer. That, in my mind, is the ultimate drive.

In the past 10 years of this event, BMW has donated over $10 million to Susan G. Komen For The Cure. So far this year, over $651,000 has been raised for donation and they are over halfway to their goal of $1 million.

We drove 3 different cars - the 2nd & 3rd photos are us in the 650i, a new model with an incredible engine and a sleek look. The route took us on some fun roads in the southern metro area, with each ride distancing about 12-15 miles. Enough starts & stops & curves to really get a feel for the car, and enjoy the experience.
